Classes for All Ages

Ballet technique classes are the foundation for training at the Phipps.
Classes focus on developing solid ballet technique with emphasis on understanding correct body placement, proper use of turn out, coordination of the upper body, and use of arms. Each class includes center exercises, work at the barre to build strength and coordination, and grand allegro combinations and variations. Clear explanations of exercises help students use the ballet vocabulary in a simple, practical way that leads to increased technical understanding, healthy physical development, and lifelong enjoyment. Each level of ballet is a continuation of the previous level and increases its difficulty. It is common to stay in the same level for two or more years.
Dress requirement: Black leotard. Pink tights. Pink ballet slippers.
