Welcome to the Phipps!
We’re so excited for you to see a show in the black box, experience some art in the galleries, or take a class in the dance studio. There’s so much to do at the PCA, so we thought we’d provide a little online handbook to help guide you on your Phipps journey.
-
We strongly suggest arriving at least 30 minutes prior to an event to ensure you're able to find parking and seating. Arrive even earlier to take in the galleries beforehand!
-
We know you will strive to be on time, but in the off chance you arrive late — depending on the show — you may be asked to remain in the lobby until an usher can seat you during a break in the action.
-
Four hours of free parking is available at the Beach House Lot directly across the street from our lobby entrance (to the west). For more Hudson parking information, click here.
-
No way! We want you to be yourself at the Phipps. If you want to dress up, go for it. If you feel better in jeans and a t-shirt, that works, too. However, temperatures do vary, so we recommend bringing an extra layer to stay comfortable in all scenarios.
-
The Phipps has a full slate of snack and beverage options, and all of them can be taken into the theater(s) during an event.
If you’re looking for more than snacks, find a wonderful area restaurant by clicking here.
-
Prior to or after the show, you can absolutely take a photo of the set/stage. However, during the performance, you cannot take photos or video of what’s onstage. Not only does it violate the terms of our agreement with play publishers, it can also be distracting to other patrons and the performers.
-
You certainly can, but be sure to check our age recommendations that follow the event description to help you decide. Regardless of the event, the Phipps recommends that you leave children under the age of four with a babysitter.
-
The Phipps does not offer refunds on tickets unless the event is canceled. Exchanges, however, may be made at least 24 hours in advance with a $2.00/ticket exchange fee. Tickets may not be exchanged for an event in a different season. For theatrical events, tickets must be exchanged for the same production.
Season Passholders are able to exchange tickets an unlimited number of times at no cost.
Prior to a performance, any unused ticket may be exchanged with the Box Office for a tax-deductible donation receipt.
-
The Phipps season runs from July to June. New seasons are announced in the early spring, and tickets go on sale shortly thereafter.
