Auditions
Children’s Theatre Auditions: Sideways Stories from Wayside School
Auditions will be held in 10-minute time slots on Tuesday, December 9th, and Wednesday, December 10th, from 6:00–9:00 PM. The cast will consist of 8 or more actors. Actors interested in auditioning for this play will read one of the audition sides we will provide them with. The director is looking for actors who can perform with high energy and can play multiple roles.
This audition is open to performers in grades 9-12.
Theatre Auditions: It’s a Wonderful Life
In person auditions will be held on Aug 18 and 19 from 6pm-9pm in the River Room at the Phipps Center for the Arts, located at 109 Locust St., Hudson, WI 54016.
This audition is open to performers ages 7 and up.
Children’s Theatre Auditions: Miss Nelson is Missing!
Auditions will be held in the River Room at the Phipps in 1-hour time slots on Tuesday, July 8th, and Wednesday, July 9th, from 6:00–9:00 PM. Actors will audition individually in 5-minute slots and then do a short movement call for the last 15 minutes (e.g., individual auditions from 6-6:45 pm, group movement call from 6:45-7:00 pm).
This audition is open to performers in grades 6-8.
Theatre Auditions: Little Shop of Horrors
Auditions will be held in person in the John H. Potter Theater at the Phipps Center for the Arts, located at 109 Locust St., Hudson, WI 54016.
BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ performers are strongly encouraged to audition. If you are offered a role and traveling from the Twin Cities, an artist carpool will be organized to make the journey sustainable for our performers.
This audition is open to performers ages 18 and up.
Dance Auditions: Phipps Center Stage
This non-competitive, performance-based dance company is made up of auditioned dancers in grades 9 through 12. The Company performs at a variety of events around the Twin Cities area and ends its year with an annual concert performance at the Phipps in March.
Dance Auditions: Phipps Junior Dance Company
The Phipps Junior Dance Company provides young dancers with the opportunity to challenge their technique and artistry on a higher level in a non-competitive setting. This company is an auditioned group of 10 to 13-year-old dancers from the Hudson area, directed by Greta Lewis and Megan Bauer.
