Discover the magic of nature through art and stories! In this camp, little artists will explore the natural world through observation, and we’ll spend the week using elements from nature to create fun projects. From painting to printmaking to collage, we’ll bring to life nature, fairies

Stomp, roar, and walk the DINOSAUR! This dance camp will be full of fun Jurassic songs! Dinosaur dance camp will incorporate jazz and hip–hop basics for a super FUN camp. On the last camp day, dancers will get to demonstrate some of their moves for family and friends and dress up in their favorite dino attire! Dress requirement: athletic clothing, ballet or jazz shoes recommended, but socks are ok too.

Showcasing the Pacific Island setting of Disney’s Moana students will explore characters and stories about friendship, nature, environment and personal strength. Students will create their own simple story to perform in a demonstration on the last day of class.

Tap begins with warm–up exercises that increase control, coordination, and rhythm; followed by across the floor exercises that teach dynamics, phrasing, and musicality; concluding with extended rhythmic phrases and improvisation exercises. The goal is to develop tap dancers that are equally strong musicians, dancers, and performers. Dress requirement: athletic clothing, tap shoes.

Discover the art of portraiture! Kids will explore techniques for making portraits inspired by famous artists while experimenting with a range of materials, including pencil, paint, collage, and mixed media. With fun projects throughout the week, they’ll learn to capture personality and emotion, all while developing their own artistic style and creating expressive, one–of–a–kind portraits.

Get your hands dirty this summer! Learn about clay and the basic techniques of throwing pottery on the wheel. Create cups and bowls and experiment with different techniques for adding finishing touches to your work. All work will be fired with food–safe glazes. Look for an email from the Phipps when the pottery is ready for pick up, approximately two weeks after camp. Closed–toed shoes must be worn in the ceramics studio.

Come and dance like you’re defying gravity! Or at least have a lot of fun dancing to the soundtrack from the new movie musical, Wicked. Dancers will learn musical theater jazz style moves in across the floor combinations and some choreography to show to parents/caregivers on the last day of camp. Dress requirement: athletic clothing, ballet or jazz shoes recommended, but socks are ok too.

What happens when science and art collide? This exciting camp week blends creativity, observation, and plenty of fun! Each day, we’ll explore a new science topic—from physics to botany—and bring it to life through hands–on art projects. Join us for a week of experimenting, designing and building!

This camp week, we will look at how artists use circles to create balance, harmony and movement, and experiment with a variety of techniques and materials. Campers will explore spin art techniques, create woven radial patterns on circular looms, and learn about the cultural significance of circular designs like Native American dreamcatchers and Celtic knots.

A Triple Threat in theater can sing, act AND dance. In this camp, students will receive instruction in all three disciplines. In the showcase at the end of the week, students will perform short scenes, as well as sing and dance in musical numbers they have learned for an audience.

Are you into comics, animation, manga, illustration? Come discover the possibilities of visual storytelling! Teens will explore the artistic foundations necessary for telling stories through images. With an emphasis on comics as the main source of inspiration, the camp will also explore techniques found in film, animation, and video games.

This class is a fun way to try out dance team style movement and work on skills to prepare you for your school dance team. Katie brings her Raidaires dance team expertise to teach you lots of leaps, kicks, turns, and jumps as well. The class will also focus on precision, placement and strength training to help you become a clean, sharp dancer! Dress requirement: athletic clothing, jazz shoes or turners.
