Adaptive Dance is designed for youth and young adults with special needs, providing the opportunity to express and learn in a creative, nurturing, and friendly environment. The class introduces students to the creative and expressive elements of dance while inspiring learning. Interactive activities include circle time, stretching, sing-alongs, and creative movement. Students work on independence, balance, self-confidence, and a love for music and movement. Parents and caregivers are invited to take part.
Dress: comfortable clothing; no specific dance shoes required.

Teen/adult adaptive dancers are welcome to take adaptive tap as an extension of their dance experience at the Phipps! This class provides students with special needs the opportunity to learn basic tap skills and rhythms.
Dress: comfortable clothing, tap shoes.
