Phipps Figure Drawing provides visual artists the opportunity to work independently and achieve self-improvement in a safe environment on a relaxing Sunday afternoon. Enjoy life drawing with fellow artists from the St. Croix River Valley and across the Twin Cities. We employ professional models. Sessions are facilitated by a Phipps Visual Arts Council member. Artists must bring their own supplies and an easel, if they have one. The Phipps has six easels available on a first-come basis.

Join teaching artist Kim Gordon for a six-week exploration of drawing! Drawing is fun, meditative, and a great way to remember and improve your connection to the world around you. And, it is a skill that can be learned! In this class you experiment with drawing tools and papers and learn techniques to build your skills in the world of drawing. You will take home new abilities and materials to continue your drawing practice. This class is appropriate for beginners through artists with some experience. All materials included.
