The Lion in Winter Auditions
Auditions for The Lion in Winter, directed by Joe Hendren, have been rescheduled to July 18 and 19, from 1:30 - 4 p.m. Callbacks will be on July 21, times TBD).
Virtual submissions are still being accepted and must be sent to joehendren@theatrex.org by 6pm on July 19.

ABOUT THE SHOW
James Goldman’s modern classic The Lion in Winter is a snapshot of the lives of King Henry II of England and his wife Queen Eleanor as they play a masterful game of real-world chess with the lives of their sons and the French King and princess. Though set in 1183 and inspired by actual figures, this is no dry historical drama. Told through a decidedly modern lens, the story is both tragic and wickedly funny.
A note about the characters’ ages. Specific ages are listed for the characters in the script, however, the exact ages are less important than the characters’ ages in relation to each other. The following ages should be considered approximations only.
At this time, we are only considering actors aged 18 and older.
