Dance Companies Auditions

Tuesday, May 31st from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m.

The Phipps Dance Company is a performance-based dance company focused on building well-rounded, technically advanced dance artists. In this non-competitive environment, dancers have the opportunity to work in a variety of styles with Director Christina Leines and Associate Director Stephanie Campbell, as well as talented guest choreographers from around the region. Rehearsals begin in September, leading up to The Phipps Dance Company production in the spring. In addition to Phipps Dance Company rehearsals, two or more dance technique classes are required to be taken at the Phipps.

Auditions are open to dancers in grades 9-12 (as of fall 2022) with at least two years of prior dance training. Auditions for The Phipps Dance Company’s 2022-2023 season will be held on Tuesday, May 31st from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. in the dance studio.

The Phipps Junior Dance Company is back and excited to host open auditions for their 2022-2023 season! The Phipps Junior Dance Company is a non-competitive, performance-based group of dancers that performs locally and in the Phipps Dance Company Show each spring. It is an opportunity for dancers to take their skills and technique to the next level in a fun, positive rehearsal process. Each year the company performs in the styles of jazz, tap, hip-hop, and lyrical or contemporary. They rehearse once a week with the directors and a guest choreographer to learn new routines each season which runs September-May. The Phipps Junior Dance Company is directed by Greta Lewis and Megan Bauer.


Dancers in 5th to 8th grade (as of fall 2022) are invited to audition on Thursday, June 2nd from 4:30 - 7:00 p.m. in the Phipps dance studio
