Each season, The Phipps offers a variety of opportunities for local and regional artists to show their work.

Enriching Arts Call 2024

Enriching Arts Program Call for Art

The Phipps is now accepting proposals for solo or small group exhibitions for our 2024/2025 Enriching Arts Program, which brings original art to community exhibition locations, including healthcare and senior living facilities. All types of media are welcome, including photography, textiles, ceramics, digital artwork, painting, drawing, printmaking, sculptural works, functional objects, etc. We have exhibition options for both 2D and smaller 3D work.

Spirit of the St. Croix Art Festival

This two-day annual juried art fair features 80 artists and attracts more than 8,000 visitors to Hudson’s Lakefront Park. Applications are typically due in May.

Members Exhibit 2023

Members' Spotlight

The Phipps invites all creatives to become a member of the Phipps and submit up to two original pieces in any media for the annual Members’ Spotlight exhibition. You automatically become a member by donating any monetary amount to the Phipps. Application dates vary from year to year.

Annual Call for Artists

To show your work in the Phipps Galleries or through our off-site exhibition program, Enriching Arts, you must respond to the Annual Call for Artists. For 2024, the Phipps is temporarily suspending the Annual Call for Artists for one year, in order to reduce the timeframe between artist acceptance and exhibition. Please check back for details posted here by February 1, 2025.

Annual Area High School Art Exhibition

Every spring, we invite high school art students and their teachers to submit one original work each in any media for the Annual Area High School Art Exhibition. This special exhibit includes first, second, and third place Judge's Awards by a professional artist or educator during the reception as well as the MaryLu Brown Scholarship for the Arts, available to graduating seniors.
