Instructor: Patricia Duncan
The foundation for this unique workshop will foster an experience of self-discovery, a listening to one’s inner voice. Artist and Wellness Consultant, Patricia Duncan, will guide the participants in an empowering process of surrendering which will serve to release them from whatever grief, fear or anxieties may be constricting their freedom and creative potential. Through the use of color, contrast, and form, they will experience their own life stories as an entry into transformative joy and peace. There is a creative force that lies deep within our human spirit and a longing to bring us to an inner peace and fuller potential of wholeness. Each of us is the artist of our own personality and it becomes our responsibility to ourselves and others to realize our fullest potential.
Instructor Patricia Duncan is a representational pastel and oil painter. Growing up on the prairies of South Dakota, her interest in drawing and painting was sparked at an early age. Currently living part of her time in the beautiful St. Croix Valley of Northwest Wisconsin, surrounded by lakes and Wisconsin farmland, her love for the outdoors is a continual source of inspiration.
Duncan lived abroad in London, England, and has traveled extensively to various parts of the world. These opportunities provided many subjects for inspiration. She is particularly drawn to cultural diversity when picking her subject matter. She prefers painting natural landscapes, people, animals, architecture and still life.
Duncan has extensive and ongoing art training with Joseph Paquet (Plein Air Oil Painter – St. Paul, MN.); extensive art training with Jeff Herinenko (Oils in Still Life and Portraiture); participates in an ongoing figure sketch group; has taken art workshops with Richard McKinley, Tony Allain, Barbara Jaenicke, Marc Hanson, Mary Pettis, Jennifer McChristian and Fred Somers. Her credentials include certification in the Wellness Program through Phoenix Process Consultants (Minnetonka, MN) and certification through Advanced Adlerian Psychology through PPC (Adler Graduate School).
