The Bird Migration Celebration is sponsored by Tropical Wings and runs May 10 – 12 with free bird hikes and more scheduled throughout the lower St. Croix River Valley. Tropical Wings is a small volunteer-run organization that supports the Sister Parks Agreement between the National Park Service in the Upper Midwest and national parks on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica by promoting an awareness of Neotropical migratory birds and supporting habitat conservation.
As part of the Bird Migration Celebration, the Youth Art Exhibit will be presented in full at Hudson Hospital & Clinic through August 4. This show will feature artwork by students from Costa Rica, RiverCrest Elementary School (Hudson), and Unity High School (Balsam Lake, Wis.)
