Population 485 is written by Michael Perry and adapted from the book Population 485: Meeting Your Neighbors One Siren at a Time. Music by S. Carey.

Adapted by NYT best-selling author (as well as pig farmer and first responder) Michael Perry and based on his wildly popular memoir of the same name, Population 485 is an entertaining, true to life story that explores themes of community, tragedy, and comedy through the lens of volunteer first responders in the quirky Wisconsin community of New Auburn (Population: 485). Upon returning to his hometown after 19 years away, our narrator joins the volunteer fire fighters. This choice leads him on a journey into the shared lives of his community. In the process, we learn what really matters, and what can’t be rescued. A true “slice of life” picture of this Wisconsin town, Population 485 promises its fair share of laughs, tempered by touching moments of raw emotion.
