Calling all “Scientartists”!
Join a creative experiment, Just Add Water (JAW) virtual classes. Join us for some at home science and art fun, in four virtual visits with Liz Malanaphy, creator of JAW summer art and science classes.
Water science? We got it!
Art projects? The best kind, using only stuff you’ve got at home somewhere. Get those toilet paper tubes ready.
Field trips? You bet … right out into the actual field.
Really, we’ll just open the door and walk outside to see what’s going on out there. Even though we have to, nature doesn’t social distance.
Experiments? Do you need to ask? The whole thing is an experiment! Come and be part of it, and together we will Just Add Water and see what happens.
Each episode will feature all of the above, along with a bit of silliness and some shenanigans to shake up your spring. Like The Phipps on Facebook to receive notices when new videos are available or write to ashartin@ThePhipps.org to be added to an e-mail list.
Liz Malanaphy has taught Just Add Water (JAW) art & nature classes at The Phipps for nine years. The JAW experience is hands-on fun for young artists and scientists who want to learn more about the world around them.
Liz is a mother of five who has worked with hundreds of students through the Hudson Destination Imagination program and various other community projects.
