Event Description
“People don’t talk about PTSD and trauma; they are afraid they won’t be understood, be misunderstood or that the words are not enough. Making art is the greatest form of hope. From making art we can put a shape to feelings, tell a story and shed light where there was darkness. In my art a story is revealed which speaks differently to each viewer; there is no right story. My artwork addresses the belief that we are not meant to live in fear.“
Judith Sarah Rae is a grandmother of eight and has always been an artist and a maker (thank you, Grandma and Mom). She is now fascinated with the layering of collage.
