Learn how to groove. From active four-year-olds to up-and-coming dance stars, we have the classes to keep the youth in our community moving. Dance classes at The Phipps help children and teens learn an art that soothes the body and the mind.
The Phipps Dance Program runs two semesters from September to May each year. Classes include various styles and are for all ages and skill levels. Registration for 2022-2023 will open in early summer.
Tai chi is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for defense training, health benefits, and meditation. Meeting the needs of both the beginning and experienced practitioner, this class offers the Yang style long form of tai chi chuan.
New students are encouraged to come and try a class before purchasing a punch card.
Saturday, June 18, 10 – 11 a.m.
Fee: $20, pre-registration required
Enjoy a gentle yoga practice focused on breath awareness and mindful movement surrounded by Alex M. Petersen’s drawings on June 18. The artists will join the class to offer a short artist talk following the yoga session. Bring a mat and a comfortable blanket and arrive 5 – 10 minutes early to settle in. The yoga session will be led by a certified instructor from Solo Yoga. Class size limited to 10.

Summer Arts Camp is back in full swing at The Phipps in 2022 with a variety of offerings over seven fun-filled and creative weeks. Students from ages 3 and over can immerse themselves in dance, theater, or visual arts classes that develop skills, grow the imagination, and provide an enjoyable social activity.
8-week session with instructor Tom Larson. Sundays through May 22nd, 2022.
