An Exploration of Photographic Processes, Techniques, Substrates and Presentation by Twin Cities Lens Prose.
Twin Cities-based Lens Prose was formed in 2009 as a collaborative fine art photography group designed to inspire creativity and promote professional growth among its members. Unified by a high level of artistic talent and a passion for photography, the group’s 12 award-winning advanced and professional photographers contribute unique styles and vision to this process.
ALTERED VIEWS highlights the results of each member’s unique and uncommon approaches during all stages of the photographic process: at the moment of capture using filters, infrared, and unique subject matter and composition; in post-production through compositing, digital painting and effects; at the print stage using metal, specialty papers, canvas and other substrates; or through custom presentation and framing techniques.
Participating artists are Brian Billadeau (alternative substrate and framing), Cynthia Fleury (digital painting and compositing), Michael Gilligan (high-contrast black and white), Mark Karney (abstract compositing on altered metal), Bradford Kissell (abstract collage, metallic print), Lars Michael (infrared photography), John A. Olson (filtering/compositing, canvas print), Forrest Pearson (color/black and white, metallic print) and Peter Wong (black and white sepia on metallic paper).
