Event Description

Get up close and personal with LIVE birds of prey from Carpenter Nature Center. Learn more about these incredible animals and study their feathers, eyes, beaks, and talons. Use your observations to draw in charcoal, colored pencil, and oil pastel, and paint using acrylic and watercolor.

Instructor Carpenter Nature Center’s (CNC) outreach program coordinator and animal care coordinator, Jessie Eckroad, specializes in presenting educational and entertaining environmental programming. In addition to her work at CNC, Eckroad is a painter, photographer, and crafter. She loves to teach and learn about the environment through art and share her passion with others.
