Event Description

Gardens are a celebration of summer. We will read a book about gardens each day, then create paper gardens using paint and more. Learn how to recycle materials and manipulate paper without scissors to make a small accordion book filled with things you learn.

Instructor Mayan Briggs began knitting 15 years ago and now has a small business selling and designing her work. Ushering students into a creative outlet with this craft and many others is a highlight of her artistic journey. Briggs has studied art at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and at UW Stout. She has taught enrichment art classes to students from preschool to adults for nearly four years.
