This two-week class is for the seriously creative. During the first week, students will learn about water science and the St. Croix River and create mystery movie trailers to show to parents and friends on Friday. During the second week, students will collaborate to create a short movie inspired by one of the trailers. The movie will be screened for parents and friends on the last Friday of the class, and shown at events this fall to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act.
The St. Croix River Association (SCRA) is the official non-profit partner of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, a unit of the National Park Service, with a mission of protecting, restoring, and celebrating the Riverway and its watershed. In 2018, the 50th Anniversary of the Riverway will be celebrated through events and art. Learn more at stcroixriverassociation.org.
