Think BIG! Create a large, moveable mural to be displayed in different places in our community including at events this fall to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act. Modeled after the Vine Street Pollinator mural, the class will choose an important part of the ecosystem to depict in their mural after exploring the science of several environmental aspects of our community.

The St. Croix River Association (SCRA) is the official non-profit partner of the St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, a unit of the National Park Service, with a mission of protecting, restoring, and celebrating the Riverway and its watershed. Instructor: Liz Malanaphy has taught Just Add Water art & nature classes at The Phipps for seven years. The Just Add Water experience is hands-on fun for young artists and scientists who want to learn more about the world around them. Liz is a mother of five who has worked with hundreds of students through the Hudson Destination Imagination program and various other community projects.
