Come knit with us and make some mittens. Learn how to design and knit your own custom pair of mittens. Mittens that fit just right can be one of the hardest things to find because everyone’s hands are different. Solve that problem of never finding the right pattern by learning to make your own. By the end of the class, you will go home with the knowledge to confidently knit mittens for any hand that is traceable, and use whatever yarn you have sitting around with any needles that fit your fancy. Come to class with ideas brewing and needles ready.
Instructor Mayan Briggs began knitting 15 years ago and now has a small business selling and designing her work. Ushering students into a creative outlet with this craft and many others is a highlight of her artistic journey. She has studied art at MCAD and Stout and has taught enrichment art classes to ages ranging from pre-school to adults for nearly 4 years.
