We are pleased to offer a guided tour through In This Place a multi-faceted exhibition exploring the question “What makes a place holy?” Its focus is on the lands of the Qur’an, the Torah, and the Bible, from ancient times to the present, and on the multiplicity of ways people experience these places as holy.

To schedule a docent-led tour of the exhibition for your community, religious, or school group, please contact Anastasia Shartin, visual arts director, 715.386.2305, ext. 103, or ashartin@ThePhipps.org.

Docent training opportunity: Volunteer docents are being sought to lead tours of In This Place. A training will be held on Monday, October 30, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., where you will meet the artists and hear them speak about their work, and a docent from Minneapolis Institute of Arts will provide helpful information on how to organize and lead a tour. To sign up, please contact Anastasia Shartin.
