Reception: August 22, 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
Year-round, indoors and out, Thursday morning is the time when a dedicated group of artists gather to share their love of painting. This show represents the diversity of visions that are united by a universal passion to create, constantly learn, and help each other on their individual artistic journeys.
The Thursday Morning Painters is a group of 14 artists who meet at the center to paint, critique work, and support one another. Members of the group come from as far west as Mape Grove and Edina, and as far east as Menomonie. Styles and genres range from impressionism and realism in landscapes, floral and street scenes, to abstract expressionistic explosions of colors, lines, and shapes. Despite their many differences, these artists have in common a deep passion for creating art and a desire to learn from one another.
