Event Description

This class is for students who have completed Photo I (Exploring Photography) and want to build on their photo skills, including visual creativity and camera functions.

Instructor Deanna Grigus will teach students how to edit photographs and design collages. On Tuesday, the class will meet at Belwin Conservancy in Afton, Minn., for an informative hike on the prairie with a naturalist.

During this exploration, students will photograph native plants and animals, including bison. Rain date is Wednesday. There will be a show of student work on the last day of class.

Class Requirements: digital camera or DSLR with empty memory card, charged battery, and camera manual (if you have one).

This class will be held Monday-Thursday during the following weeks of Summer Art Camp: 

Week 1: June 19-22 | 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

About the Instructor:

Deanna Grigus has a B.F.A. in Art with an emphasis in photography. She creates fine art photography from her home studio and exhibits, sells, and has work in permanent collections throughout the region. Grigus has taught classes to adults and children at The Phipps for 13 years.
