The St. Croix River turns 50 this year!* Come spend the morning drawing prairie flora that line sections of the riverway. We will meet at Belwin Conservancy where we will explore ways to capture the feel of the prairie on paper. Students will learn about prairie flora as they are guided in exploring their own unique approach to capturing the essence of the prairie. They will gain skills in keen observation of shapes, sizes, relationships, negative and positive space. Also, they will be guided and encouraged to explore various approaches to render the natural world onto a 2D surface
*(Since it’s designation as a National Scenic Riverway)
